Gilbert Asante is a chartered accountant with full membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants - Ghana since 2007. He attended the University of Ghana from 2000 to 2004 where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Psychology. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation - Ghana. 

Gilbert joined SDC Finance Limited in July 2009 as the Accounts Manager and rose to become the Chief Finance Officer after having over five years audit experience in KPMG, where he successfully led several audit field works in the financial service industry in his capacity as a Senior Associate. 

Gilbert Asante joined FirsTrust Savings and Loans in October 2016 as the Financial Controller, overseeing the Finance function of the 12 branches and 1 agency of the company. 

Gilbert is a Barrister and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
